The shot is of Loch Lannsaidh in Eastern Sutherland, in the Highlands of Scotland. Lannsaidh is a stocked rainbow loch with a head of wild brown trout and Arctic char.
It is controled by Dornoch and District Angling Association.
Day tickets for both bank and boat are available for non members.
Mike, my usual boat partner is fishing from his new float tube. It was taken at the end of September and is a HDR compersition of three bracketed shots using Photomatics.
Shot on a Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 18-250.
That weather didn’t last. In true highland fashion by the time we got the boat out it was windy, and raining.
It is often said if you don’t like the weather here wait 15 minutes. It’ll be different then.
