Lough Mask’s brown

The Weekly Picture : 28

This is a brown trout from Lough Mask, Ireland, on late april 2011. This fish ( and others ) ate small olives on a massive hatch.

It’s very difficult to catch a fish when there is a lot of fly on the surface because your fly is lost among the thousands of real flies, and the fish prefer the real one….

But in a couple of hours, 5 fishs was landed (and released of course !), between 45 and 50 cm. Lough Mask is an amazing place !
