As you may have noticed over the last couple of years, we have a special bond with sightfishing the nymph in France, targetting difficult fish at the end of the season. PIKE ON THE SURFACE !
Whenever a planned trip is getting closer, I become obsessed for tying lots of flies. I’m so thrilled that I tie so many types of flies, that some of them will not even end up at my leader.
The fourth day of our stay, is eternalised in my mind. We decided to fish a bigger lake today, on which we did quite well last year.
Last evening our French friends had some success in this lake, fishing lures from the shore, with a 90+cm mixed in. We decided to give it a try with our flies.
